Captain’s Quarters is proudly family-owned. We've been involved with the property since 2009, and today we run every aspect of the motel ourselves. If you see us working in the garden or cleaning rooms, feel free to say hello — and you may even meet our mini Goldendoodle, Benson, who is often on site!

Built for Dogs & Their People

We purchased and renovated this five-room motel with a very specific mission: to offer clean, modern, and welcoming accommodations for travelers with dogs. Every decision, from layout to materials, was made with canine companions in mind. While we don’t offer the large-scale amenities of bigger hotels, we take immense pride in our clean rooms, thoughtful details, and laid-back charm.

• Simple & Comfortable: Our single-story layout offers easy access and privacy. No stairs, no lobbies — just a seamless check-in and your own front door.
• Garden Patio: Relax outside in our shared garden seating area. It's a great place to enjoy your morning coffee or unwind after a day at the beach.
• High-End Touches: We use Comphy Co. luxury bedding and top-quality bamboo towels in every room.
• Modern Design: All rooms feature hardwood floors, tiled bathrooms, and modern fixtures for a fresh, clean feel.
• Stocked Kitchens: Several rooms offer full kitchens and are set up like mini condos or cottages — perfect for longer stays or travelers who like to cook.
• Contactless Housekeeping: For guests with dogs, we offer daily item exchange rather than in-room service. Hang the request form outside your door, and we’ll replace towels or other needs without entering.
• Contactless Self Check-In: We offer fully contactless self check-in and check-out. On the days before arrival, you'll receive an email with a digital registration link, and on the day of arrival, a welcome email with your door code once your room is ready ( by 2:00 PM).
• Free High-Speed Wi-Fi: Every room includes complimentary fast Wi-Fi — perfect for streaming or working remotely.
• No Breed Restrictions or Size Limits: All friendly, well-behaved dogs are welcome — no matter the breed or size.

What You Won’t Find (On Purpose)

Our focus is on simplicity and comfort. While we don’t have a pool, gym, or daily turndown service, we believe you’ll appreciate what we do offer: a relaxing space where your dog is more than just allowed — they’re truly welcomed.

By keeping things simple and handling much of the work ourselves, we’re able to pass savings on to our guests.
